Michael was born in 1977 in Germany, but brought up in Killarney, Ireland. He now lives in London. He trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama.

He plays Azazeal in Sky Ones supernatural drama Hex,
He starred in the January 2004 Guinness ad called The Quarrel, in which his character swims all the way to New York from Ireland, to apologise to his best friend!

He played Guy Fawkes in BBC Drama, Gunpowder, Treason and Plot, as well as guest starring in BBC crime Drama 'Murphy's Law' and ITV 1's 'William and Mary', as well as mini series 'Band of Brothers' and 'A Bear named Winnie' .

He has his own production company called Peanut Productions.
